Team Overview

The B&M Retail team ensures excellent in-store pharmacy operations, diagnostics, and e-consultation services. Collaborates with Warehousing, Merchandising, and Marketing teams for service and operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities

Financial Performance and Sales

  • Achieve daily sales targets with shift-wise allocation (private label, BigBasket, generics, high-margin categories, diagnostics).
  • Build business relations with local doctors, gyms, salons, grocery chains, and partners.
  • Ensure and validate staff prescription reminder calls and follow-ups on dormant/lapsed/high-value users.
  • Maintain commitment register and timely order closures.

Omnichannel Business

  • Ensure 0% pushback on all omnichannel orders.
  • Maintain 0% breach in order processing TAT.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) on pushbacks and breaches; implement corrective actions.
  • Guide team on RCAs and improve future responses.

Team Management, Business Review, and Training

  • Motivate and manage team performance.
  • Oversee roster, leave, and attendance management.
  • Identify and resolve team challenges.
  • Communicate targets, achievements, and incentives clearly.
  • Review daily performance and plan targets.
  • Conduct periodic knowledge checks and training on medicines, private labels, generics.
  • Guide professional telephone and WhatsApp communication.
  • Nominate team members for central training programs.

Customer Service and Experience

  • Ensure team grooming, etiquette, and customer service standards.
  • Attend and service in-store customers effectively.
  • Respond to all customer calls and WhatsApp messages within 15–20 minutes.
  • Build long-term customer relationships.

Inventory Health

  • Validate 100% accuracy in daily inventory inwarding and proper SKU putaway.
  • Ensure removal of expired, near-expiry, and non-moving items.
  • Ensure bounced items are recorded.
  • Assign and validate physical SKU audits daily.
  • Ensure dispensing accuracy in quantity and batch.
  • Train team on inventory accuracy and resolve issues.
  • Monitor local demand and competition; request relevant inventory.
  • Stay vigilant for theft and pilferage.

Marketing Activities

  • Plan and schedule outdoor marketing through team rosters.
  • Monitor staff performance during marketing campaigns.
  • Ensure staff promote current offers to customers.
  • Lead by example in marketing initiatives and growth efforts.


Qualifications & Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Pharmacy with 5-8 years of experience.
  • Valid State Pharmacy Council registration.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Computer proficiency and pharmacy software knowledge.
  • High attention to detail, multitasking skills, and ethical conduct.
